I am adding this link for your interest. It is an audio from Chameli, who is the founder of Awakening Women. It is extremely beautiful and although long, deeply inspiring. http://ds1.downloadtech.net/cn1086/audio/10746469165685-001.mp3
Just like the trunk and branches of this ancient Olive tree, we can give form to love through our Expressions of life. In this picture, we get a translucent glimpse of this love, which has no 'shape' of its own, through the branches of this tree. It only becomes recognisable for what it is by the physicality of the tree through which we can peer and see this symbol manifested before our eyes. This recognition is all it takes to realise its Presence - This 'love' is everywhere and our physical existence is our opportunity to really experience and creatively express this universal ever present energy through our life, which ultimately is a gift of Grace and opportunity for SELF expression. Lets vow to be the best Expression ever! To be everything we long to be. To be everything we truly are. To be brave enough to really trust our'Selves' to feel -and offer that, to each other, which is already given.

Living on the Edge has always been perceived as being extreme and imbalanced - The 'middle road' is more likely associated with balance - but hey! living on the 'Edge,' is by its very nature, insisting that balance is entered into. Awareness is necessary here too, to stay safe in such a place. Here on the edge life is real and exciting and we need to be wide awake.
I have just resumed my Yoga practice after almost 10 years of not being in a group! It is wonderful and just down the road. No long treks into town with parking issues - perfect and simple. Our wonderful teacher asked us to consider Satya or Truth, as we have been focusing on this topic for a couple of weeks. She invited us to bring writings, poems or anything which resonated to express this for us personally and to share. My first reaction was "Truth cannot be expressed, it's too subjective", but that didn't stop me getting my pen out and scribbling down these lines! I couldn't stop there so I put them into this picture below. I've been discovering a type of 'photoshop' on my old- fashioned programme, which with a lot of trial and error, has proved to be quite exciting. This is a lonely tree which looked quite ordinary before, now it looks full of blossom and promise! Fellow Yogini's contributed these. Both very poignant.
'Live pure, Speak true right wrong, follow the King - Else, wherefore born? Tennyson Grounded' from The Tao of Women Stretching herself too thin, she breaks her connections. Staying too busy, she has no time. Doing for others, she neglects herself. Defining herself only through others, she loses her own definition. The wise woman waters her own garden first. by Pamela K Metz & Jacqueline L Tobin (Published by Element – ISBN 1-85230-893-1) Such a beautiful re.minder for us all, lets remember this 'Truth' |
