Word.ly weavings . . . . .
The editing process makes it my own and then everything about it changes. It now becomes 'mine' to improve, criticise, find fault with!
But you know when I just leave it be - transcribe it exactly as it flows out onto the page, I can feel grateful, graced and O.k. with it all.
My rational mind is put where it belongs and I am allowed to appreciate that which was 'given' to me in that moment.
Most of my 'poetic' expressions are very simple and generally about the joy and miracle of life, or on the other hand, the battle within my inner world which entails breaking away from 'thought' which persistently tries to direct rather than serve. This is an Attempt to give back the reins to my heart and renewing a balance there.
I love the written word.
Although words can cause confusion, expressing spontaneously has an authenticity which doesn't need to be explained rationally but hopefully felt by that intrinsic part of our 'selves' which we all share, recognise and in time come to KNOW and Trust.
